Idaho State Tax Commissions Information
**Temporary sales tax permits are a type of seller's permit and allow you, your company, or your organization to make infrequent retail sales in Idaho. These permits include a simple form to report sales and submit the sales taxes you collect from your customers. They are designed for one-time events such as concerts, fund-raisers, farmer markets, and bazaars.
**Idaho state tax commissions office have changed the way they process their temporary/regular sales tax permits. All vendors accepted to vend in the Burley Farmers Market will have to click the link below and follow the instructions. You will need to register under Burley Farmers Market ( Promoter) Event ID code. Idaho state tax office will need to know every vendor that will be selling during this event(farmers market). The vendor will receive an email with the ID and steps to follow.

Valid for only for one event (e.g., farmers market or craft show)
File return within 15 days of the last day of the event
Must file, even if no sales

ALL Vendors that are accepted will do the following:
- Go to idahotap.gentax.com/TAP/_/#2
- Scroll down & click " Register as a Temporary Seller or Promoter.”
- Choose “Seller WITH Event ID” & then click “Next.”
- Choose “I am going to an event” & then click “Next.”
- On the following page your participants need to enter the Event ID (you will receive the event ID when your application is accepted, you will find this number in your approval email) then click “Next.”
- On the next page you will enter your seller information( you will use either your SSN, or Federal Employer ID # & you will Confirm ID one more time, add your , add your address , & what you are selling, click “Next,”
- You will then choose I need a temporary permit if you are selling products or related services and need a Temporary Seller's Permit. Click "Next"
- OR choose I have a regular permit if you already have a regular seller's permit. You don't need a temporary permit if you already have a regular tax permit. For example, if you have a sales tax permit and you're selling the same type of product, you don't need a temporary permit. Just include any extra sales when you file your regular tax form. Click "Next" add your ID #.
- Verify the information. You will receive an confirmation email. That will need to be printed and posted in your booth.
